Mushrooms
Fresh & Frozen
Our fresh and freshly frozen mushrooms grow wild in the northern region of the country, in the wonderful Bucovina area, at the foot of the Rarau and Giumalau mountains. Every autumn, the pickers go out and carefully harvest these delicacies by hand, then we freeze them quickly to preserve the flavor and nutritional value. Delivered fresh (in season) and frozen (out of season) directly to your door or to our stores. Bonne appetite!

Details
As the scientific name suggests, Boletus edulis is an edible mushroom and is considered superior in flavor and texture. The meat is white, hard, with a slight nutty and meaty taste, with a pleasant smell and a fine and creamy texture. The mushrooms are eaten fresh, lightly fried in butter, with pasta, in risotto, in soups and in many other dishes.
Italian chef and restaurateur Antonio Carluccio described it as representing “the wild mushroom par excellence” and praised it as the most satisfying of all kitchen mushrooms for its taste and versatility. It was and is among the most sought-after mushrooms, especially in France, Germany, Poland and Italy.
Health benefits:
Brussels sprouts are an excellent source of vitamin B, protein, copper, potassium, zinc and selenium. All essential minerals for a healthy diet.
They are also rich in dietary fiber and have a low content of saturated and unsaturated fats. Dietary fiber helps stimulate digestion, relieving constipation problems.
Vitamin B, which is found in abundance in these mushrooms, helps the immune system, supports nerve and heart health and helps, among other things, to break down blood sugar in the body.
Frozen Mushrooms
Mushrooms are frozen to extend their shelf life and to reduce food waste.
While freezing mushrooms may cause some loss of nutrients and changes in texture, these are very minor and still allow the mushrooms to be used in many ways. This makes buying frozen mushrooms a very good option, as long as they are properly prepared.

Most frozen mushrooms will last in the freezer for 9-12 months.
Frozen mushrooms are best for dishes that will be cooked, such as soups, casseroles or stews, or as a pizza topping.
You can also add frozen mushrooms to foods that need to be cooked but not in the oven, such as pasta, rice or quinoa, by adding them to grains while they are boiling and cooking.
If you are not making a dish that will cook long enough to heat and cook the frozen mushrooms well, you can thaw them first by transferring them to the refrigerator overnight to soften.
Conserved Mushrooms
They contain riboflavin and niacin, which play an essential role in how your body produces energy and helps your heart. Conserved mushrooms contain a considerable amount of potassium, a mineral that has been associated with lowering the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease. It also helps you maintain a healthy weight.
